A ghost hunter can still attempt to hide, but there is little more terrifying than a player hiding for their life and having a demon open the door of the room they are cowering within. These remove guaranteed hiding places, as there is nowhere to run anymore. Sound-sensitive creatures will even follow players' voices as they communicate in-game. A player will not be safe hiding in another room or a locker, as the apparition following the player can open doors in or out of a haunt. "Apocalypse" introduces custom game creation with options to increase or decrease haunt times, frequency, activity meters, and more.
